Repeat after me, I will not read another "get rich quick plan" or one of those "make a million dollars by email" schemes ever again.
Great, now that we have that out of the way, you're here because you want to learn how running a web design business can really make you money. Read on and you'll find a true and tested way to make hundreds or thousands of dollars each month with a little honest work and determination.
Let's start by asking this simple question...
Can you think of 10 people who might want a website for their business?
If the answer is yes, then lets start by explaining how reselling our system could make your website design business easier to do.

The System
First of all, with our system you will be able to sell websites to clients with your own reseller portal, with your style, your brand, your logo and your pricing. On your portal, potential clients could sign up instantly for up to 30 day free trials and then upgrade automatically. Our easy to use sitebuilder has comparable if not more features than those cheesy $9.95 do it yourself websites you've seen on the TV infomercials. Features such as quality customizable designs, image galleries, online contact forms, social plugins and more. In addition you could offer domain names and email addresses with your packages. Whether you're starting a new business or would just like to add easier website design solutions as an added service to your existing business, you can be the expert and the provider of the solution they are looking for.
How do you make money?
For this example we will say you will charge $499 for a 4 page website with a Home, Services, Event/Details and Contact Us page including a free domain name. Then you will charge $25 to $100 per month for the service which includes 5 to 25 email addresses @theirdomain. Your cost to us is a simple $12 per month per account plus $10 per year for the domain name (as low as $7.75/yr with the Domain Manager service). So your net profit will be $645 for the first year from this one client. ($25 (minimum) - $12 = $13 per month * 12 months = $156 + $499 - $10 = $645)
or
What if the client couldn't quite afford $499 up front for the site but could afford a $200 down payment. You could then offer to spread out the remaining $299 over 12 months along with a $200 payment plan servicing fee for a total of $499 over 12 months or $41 a month extra. So now with your $25 monthly service fee, your client will pay you $66 ($25+ $41) per month for the first 12 months. This way you will net $54 ($66 - $12) each month from one client.
Now here is the question de' resistance. Do you think you could find two or more clients in a month? You do the math.
*Note: Net profit in this scenario does not include your monthly cost for gas, electric, internet, our reseller portal fee or other items you can possibly write off your taxes.
Why you and what if...?
Now you're probably wondering why someone would pay you $499 upfront and $25 a month for their website when they can do it themselves on those other sites for less. It's because you're offering value added services such as flexibility, quality local support and extra services.
Also a key reason is because on your website, you'll offer flat fee web design pricing. Think of it like this, when you shopping for a car and drive by that car lot, you know there's gonna be a cost, but are you more inclined to stop at the lot that has the prices in the car window or the ones that don't? Check out your competition, search web design in your city name and see how many web designers in your competitive area have Request a Quote on their site. Go ahead, we'll wait. [Google Search ]
In addition, just because someone can do it themselves, doesn't necessarily mean they want to do it themselves. Think of it this way, would you try your hand at fixing your transmission if there were a shop called DIY Auto Repair which costs less but has no actual mechanics on staff? That $800 repair bill isn't looking so bad anymore, is it?

Lets go over a real world scenario:
Say Troy from Troy's Lawncare is out in the sun working hard all day, then has to come home to send real mail invoices to his clients. Do you think he wants to spend a few more hours online creating or maintaining his website? Does he even know what fields to include in a form or how to crop images in the image editor?
Troy might love to have a website where new prospects could contact him or when he sends out a simple email, directing his current clients to his website where they can make their payment online.
What if Troy wanted to post a special offer on the page? Its a good thing that with your $25 service plan, it includes one free page update per month (you go in and update his page for him) or up to 8 updates included with the $100 a month plan. However if we wanted to make a quick change himself, he could login and make it with your easy to use sitebuilder.
What if you have no idea how to design a website? So what, you can learn from our tutorials! Or if you really don't have time to learn, you can say to Troy that your design team (that's us) will create for him a great website. With our additional services a 4 page website is only $349 and depending on which plan you choose, you will save an additional 10% - 30% off that price. You still profit over $150
What if Troy hesitated at the $499 up front price? Would you suggest to him that you could break it up over 12 months for a $200 fee. So $699 -$200 down payment / 12 months =$41.58 (for this purpose we'll say $41) ; then add that to your monthy service fee of $25 ($13 profit) per month equals $66 total per month. Do you think Troy can better afford to pay his website maintainer $66 dollars each month? He probably pays that much in one gas tank.
What if Troy wanted you to send out the email for him, would you do it for an extra $20 per month or include that service in the $100 per month plan? What if Troy wanted 10 pages so he could sell his home made yard care products via mail order? More money for you?
These are a few reasons why Troy would rather pay you than going online to the cheapo Do-It-Yourself website thingy.
By breaking it up over 12 months, you're offering Troy flexibility, affordability and service. Now that's $54 ($13+ $41) per month you make. Take that times 10 clients. Would you mind receiving $540 each month for 10 simple clients?
Or better yet, what if Troy paid you the $499 up front? What if you added only 2 new clients each month? You'd make $1048 ($499 setup plus $25 service x 2 clients) the first month, then $108 profit each additional month for every two clients. That could be $1048 plus $216 the second month, $1048 plus $324 the third month. How many clients do you think you can you signup each month? Wash, rinse, repeat!
Notice, the goal is not to try to compete with those cheapo DIY website providers. They're not even in the same class. Their business model is built on selling lots and lots of sites. Think of this, at $9.95 a site, they have to signup over 100 or so sites each month to make $1098. Not to mention paying for those TV and magazine ads or the customer service reps which answer their toll free number? How many sites do they have to signup to cover all of those costs? With a business model based on value added services and minimal costs, your costs are covered in just one or two clients. Get the picture?
